Matt received his Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Walden University. He has 10 years of experience working in the criminal justice field with adults and adolescents. His theoretical approach is integrative and comprises humanistic, CBT, ART, and solution-focused elements to treat depression, anxiety, and addiction behaviors. He is learning and gaining experience in child-centered play therapy and family-systems work.
Matt enjoys helping individuals, couples, and families achieve balance and peace in their lives and relationships. He believes in the positive psychology model that change comes through realizing one’s inner strength and resilience. The therapeutic environment offers compassion and support and facilitates this process of growth and change.
Aside from his professional life, Matt is a devoted family man with 7 children and 1 grandson. His hobbies include sports, music, reading, and backpacking.
